Turning Yobe's climate ambition into bankable, investable assets

The Yobe Green Opportunity Index scores green investment readiness in all 17 LGAs, values natural capital, screens projects through FIPRE and tracks carbon from field to credit, with the source and confidence of every figure on record.

The objective

To give Yobe State one credible place to measure, prove and present its green economy, so that climate ambition can be turned into projects that funders will finance.

Measure readiness
Score the state and each of its 17 LGAs on green investment readiness across six pillars.
Qualify projects
Screen projects through FIPRE and classify them against the Yobe Green Taxonomy.
Value assets
Record natural capital and track carbon monitoring. Issuance stays disabled.
Track delivery
Follow ECCAP targets and the path to production in the open.
Earn trust
Every figure carries its source. A different person verifies it. Scores stay off the public page until a snapshot is published.

Yobe at a glance

Yobe lies in Nigeria's north-east, on the edge of the Sahel. Desertification and advancing sand dunes are the state's defining climate pressures.

Why this platform matters

Yobe's green economy has been described in reports, project documents and plans that do not speak to each other. Y-GOI puts the evidence in one place, scores it by published rules, and shows the working.

One evidence base
The state score, the 17 LGA scores and the indicators behind them sit in one system.
A place funders can read
A screened project pipeline, with distance, source, time and limitations on every exposure.
A record that can be challenged
Communities can raise a grievance. Staff cannot verify their own entries. The audit spine is append-only.
